Edward Thomas Wormald is a resident of Pico Rivera and is an outstanding servant to youth.
Ed attended Harvard High School (now Harvard-Westlake High School) in Los Angeles, received a B.A. in Political Science at UC Santa Barbara, and served as a staff sergeant and reservist for ten years in the U.S. Marine, serving in Operation Desert Storm in Iraq.
With his diverse upbringing, Ed understood the importance of community and service. Ed is a devoted volunteer at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic School (OLPH) in Downey, CA. He spends countless hours improving the school from managing OLPH school activities to fixing and maintaining the grass fields and playgrounds. As Chair of the OLPH 2015 Carnival, Ed played a vital role in OLPH's largest annual fundraiser, which is well-known within the City of Downey.
Additionally, Ed serves as the Cub Master for Cub Scouts Pack 805, a referee in Downey AYSO, and a board member of the Downey Northeast Little League. As a father of two, Ed realizes the importance of being both an active father and a community member. Often times, you will find Ed and his wife, Gina, volunteering with various organizations. Ed sees his two boys as his motivation for giving back. In fulfilling his duties, Ed humbly wants to ensure that "what we do for the kids is well arranged for them and the parents."
