Letter in support of U.S Representative and Secretary of the Interior nominee Deb Haaland.
February 23, 2021
The Honorable Dianne Feinstein
United State Senate
331 Hart Senate Office Building
Washington, D.C. 20510
Dear Senator Feinstein,
I write to you today to ask for your support of U.S Representative and Secretary of the Interior nominee Deb Haaland, which will continue building on the good work you have done in California by protecting our state and nation.
Representative Haaland is an outstanding and historic nominee. A passionate steward of our environment, she would also bring a long absent voice and perspective as the first Native American leader of the Department of the Interior.
Ms. Haaland’s already established credibility with Native Americans will help her oversee the department’s various agencies and bureaus. She will also lend an experienced voice when working alongside the Bureau of Indian Affairs. She is uniquely qualified to oversee the National Park Service, the Bureau of Land Management and the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Services. Her voice in the fight against climate change and in our nation’s phase out of fossil fuels will always ensure the U.S is moving in the right direction.
Thank you for your consideration of this request. I urge your support of Representative Haaland’s nomination as the next U.S Secretary of the Interior. If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to me.
