Statement on Schurr High School

For immediate release:

“I have been tracking the Schurr High School rodent situation and staying in communication with the Los Angeles Department of Public Health (LADPH) and the Montebello Unified School District (MUSD) and will continue to stay abreast of the situation. Hopefully the work to clean the school will be done soon and everyone can return safely to the classroom. Please be assured that LADPH will be inspecting Schurr High School as an independent third party before the school is permitted to reopen. I am happy to hear that LADPH and MUSD are working proactively together and LADPH will be inspecting every school in MUSD to ensure the safety of all students and staff,” said Assemblymember Cristina Garcia (D-Bell Gardens).
