Assemblywoman Garcia Seeks Input Regarding Priorities for Women and Girls of Color

(Norwalk, Ca) – California State Assemblywoman Cristina Garcia (D-Bell Gardens), Member of the Assembly Select Committee on the Status of Girls and Women of Color, hosted a hearing in search of feedback regarding legislative priorities for California women and girls. The hearing was held in Norwalk at Cerritos College.  Assemblywoman Garcia and the Select Committee received a lot of valuable input from attendees regarding the issues of education, health, child care, mentorship programs and domestic violence; and their unique impact on women and girls of color.
