Dear Friend,
This Fourth of July, we celebrate the 241st birthday of the Declaration of Independence – a day to commemorate the origins of our freedom, rights, and responsibilities. The feeling of the sanctity of America's Independence Day was best expressed in the July 18, 1777 edition of the Virginia Gazette:
"Thus may the 4th of July, that glorious and ever memorable day, be celebrated throughout America, by the sons of freedom, from age to age, till time shall be no more."
It is with this sentiment in mind that I invite you to join me in attending some of the festivities taking place throughout the 60th district.
