With extreme heat as the number-one cause of extreme weather-related deaths, it is essential to stay cool and find ways to escape the heat to the best of our ability. Finding ways to stay cool during a heat wave can help protect you and your loved ones from heat-related illnesses.

California Service Corps Programs

The California Service Corps was established to engage All Californians in service, focusing on empowering our most vulnerable populations. Through legislation, we have created comprehensive programs that provide paid service opportunities for individuals of all backgrounds to address critical issues facing our state.

SUN Bucks - California’s New Summer Food Program

Starting this summer, you can earn $120 in food benefits for your child with California SUN Bucks, also called Summer-EBT. SUN Bucks provides $40 per month for food for June, July and August 2024 ($120 total). You can use your card to buy food at most grocery stores, farmer's markets, and other authorized retailers.

Riverside County Nonprofit Assistance Fund

The Inland Empire Community Foundation (IECF), on behalf of the Riverside County Department of Housing and Workforce Solutions (HWS), is seeking proposals for Programmatic Funding through the Riverside County Nonprofit Assistance Fund (RCNAF). The Fund was established to build on the County’s efforts to strengthen, expand, and support the local nonprofit sector, which played a critical role in the pandemic response. 

California Grants Portal

Your One-Stop-Shop For State Grant Opportunities!

The California State Library has collaborated with over 50 different state agencies to create the California Grants Portal, a centralized destination to find all grants and loans offered by state grant makers.

This new easy-to-use platform will provide summaries of each grant or loan opportunity, including information on how to apply and links where grant seekers can access further details. Grantseekers can also sign up for updates on new grants that may be of interest.

COVID-19 Information

COVID-19 vaccination is one of the most important tools to end the COVID-19 pandemic. It is safe and will be free to everyone in California who wants it. Continue to wear a mask, wash your hands and keep physical distance from people outside of your household.
