Assembly Select Committee Hearing on Career Technical Education and Building a 21st Century Workforce

You are invited to join Assemblymembers Sabrina Cervantes and Autumn Burke at an informational hearing of the Assembly Select Committee on Career Technical Education and Building a 21st Century Workforce. The hearing will focus on Pathways to Employment: Identifying the Nexus between Education, Career Readiness, and Workforce Development.

Studies show California will face a shortage of skilled workers by 2025, leaving an estimated 1 million jobs vacant. During the informational hearing on Feb. 9, we will bridge the gap between employers and our workforce to build pathways within California’s evolving economy. This hearing will provide insight from our business, education, and economic development communities on the work being done to address this pertinent issue. There will be an opportunity for public comment at the conclusion of the hearing.
