National Night Out 2018

National Night Out is August 7. In our community, my office will join law enforcement agencies, your fellow neighbors, and the cities throughout the 60th Assembly District to participate in our community’s National Night Out festivities.

Sponsored by the National Association of Town Watch (NATW), National Night Out is a joint community/police program that provides information, educational materials and technical assistance to community groups to help develop an effective year-long partnership between the community and local law enforcement.  The goal is to reduce crime, violence and substance abuse at the community level.

On August 7, millions of Americans from coast to coast will meet together in their neighborhoods to get involved in the fight against crime. National Night Out helps create crime prevention awareness in the neighborhood through a multitude of events, such as block parties, cookouts, parades, contests, youth events and seminars.

Together, we can reduce crime in our neighborhoods. I invite you to join me and my team in attending some of the festivities taking place in our communities!
