On Fourth of July, we celebrate the origins of our freedom, rights, and responsibilities as a nation. The feeling about the sanctity of America's Independence Day was best expressed in the July 18, 1777 edition of the Virginia Gazette:
"Thus may the 4th of July, that glorious and ever memorable day, be celebrated throughout America, by the sons of freedom, from age to age, till time shall be no more."
It is with this sentiment in mind, that I invite you to attend some of the celebrations open to the public, taking place throughout the 60th Assembly District.
