Each year, in honor of Women's History Month, the California Legislative Women's Caucus hosts a "Woman of the Year" celebration to celebrate outstanding women in our communities. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we are announcing our Woman of the Year virtually, and it is a great honor and pleasure to name Gail Paulsen of Eastvale as my honoree for 2022!
Gail is a community leader, advocate, and dedicated volunteer committed to building a brighter future for her grandchildren. After a rewarding 30-year career at Bank of America, Gail retired as a Senior Vice President and Senior Wealth Management Banker.
A selfless public servant, Gail has dedicated her time and energy to improving the quality of life in our Inland Empire region. Through her involvement with Friends of the Eastvale Public Library, Gail was instrumental in raising funds to establish the first library in her community of Eastvale.
Gail’s interest in civic engagement began at an early age when she wrote a letter to newly elected President John F. Kennedy as part of a school assignment. President Kennedy’s response to that letter taught her that her voice mattered. Today, Gail remains actively involved in local, state, and national causes and dedicates her service and civic involvement to her 8-year-old granddaughter.
Thank you, Gail, for your unwavering dedication to our community! Your servant leadership is an inspiration for us all, and we are grateful for your continued advocacy.
As March comes to an end, let’s continue celebrating and recognizing the women in our lives every day for all they do to make our communities stronger and better!
