Cervantes Applauds Senate Approval of Bill to Restore Funding to Four Riverside County Cities

For immediate release:

(SACRAMENTO) – The following is a statement by Assemblymember Sabrina Cervantes (D-Corona) on the State Senate’s approval of Senate Bill 130, which would restore needed funding to the cities of Eastvale, Jurupa Valley, Menifee, and Wildomar, by a bipartisan vote of 34-0:

“I am grateful that we have taken this important step towards making the cities of Eastvale and Jurupa Valley financially whole again. I want to thank my friend, colleague, and partner in this effort, Senator Richard D. Roth (D-Riverside), for his tireless advocacy on behalf of our cities over several years.

“With this funding restored, Eastvale and Jurupa Valley would once again be able to provide essential public services to their residents. This includes increased levels of police patrols and firefighting protection, as well as faster response times by first responders.

“I look forward to supporting SB 130 when it comes to the Assembly Floor, and finally restoring to Eastvale and Jurupa Valley our fair share of funding from Sacramento.”
