Cervantes Statement on the Governor’s May Revision of the Proposed State Budget

Applauds Inclusion of $18 Million for Jurupa Area Recreation and Park District

(SACRAMENTO) – The following is a statement by Assemblymember Sabrina Cervantes (D-Corona) regarding Governor Jerry Brown releasing his May Revision of the proposed state budget today:

“I applaud Governor Brown for his fiscal responsibility in crafting—once again—a budget that is reasonable and balanced. I look forward to working through June 15 with my colleagues in the Legislature, and the Governor, in finalizing a budget for our great state.

“I am also proud to report that the May Revision includes $18 million in funding for the Jurupa Area Recreation and Park District. Thank you to Governor Brown for recognizing the critical need for open spaces in the communities that I represent.”  

Assemblymember Sabrina Cervantes represents the 60th District of the California State Assembly, which encompasses the communities of Corona, Eastvale, Jurupa Valley, Norco, and a portion of the City of Riverside.
