(SACRAMENTO) – Assemblymember Sabrina Cervantes (D-Corona) issued the following statement today after Governor Jerry Brown issued his proposed state budget:
“I applaud Governor Brown for proposing a prudent state budget that will ensure that California ‘lives within its means,’ including support for the voter-approved rainy-day fund.
“In particular, I want to thank the Governor for his continued investment in the California Competes program, which provides tax cuts to small businesses. I look forward to continuing to collaborate with the Administration on this important issue through my Assembly Bill 162.
“I am prepared to work with the Governor and my colleagues in the Legislature to ensure that the final state budget provides sufficient resources to keep Western Riverside County both safe and prosperous.”
