The California Service Corps was established to engage All Californians in service, focusing on empowering our most vulnerable populations. Through legislation, we have created comprehensive programs that provide paid service opportunities for individuals of all backgrounds to address critical issues facing our state.
The California Service Corps consists of several impactful programs:
Earn up to $10,000 for college while gaining valuable experience and positively affecting your community. Join like-minded peers committed to service and education and unlock a brighter future through hands-on learning and support. Please note, this program is uniquely open to AB 540 CA Dream Act Students.
Tackle climate challenges head-on by engaging in impactful projects that protect and preserve our natural resources. Adults (18+) serve up to 11 months tackling pressing environmental issues, receiving training, certifications, and a living allowance.
Kickstart your career with purpose. The Youth Jobs Corps provides young individuals (ages 16-30) with job training, work experience, and mentorship. Develop critical skills, build your resume, and open doors to future employment opportunities while positively impacting your community.
Adults from all backgrounds serve in nonprofits, public agencies, and educational institutions, addressing education, disaster response, and health equity.
