(Sacramento) – Assemblymember Sabrina Cervantes (D-Corona) wrote Assembly Bill 1618 to improve the services provided to California veterans by establishing a certification process veteran service providers. AB 1618 would also establish a competitive grant program for purposes of awarding grant moneys to certified California veteran service providers. “AB 1618 will help insure that the limited state resources available go to veteran service organizations that are legitimate and have a proven track record of serving the specific needs of our veterans,” Assemblymember Cervantes told the Assembly Committee on Veterans Affairs.
