Norco College Hosts Assembly Hearing on Building Pathways to Employment

(Norco, CA) – Assemblymember Sabrina Cervantes (D-Corona) brought the Assembly Select Committee on Career Technical Education and Building a 21st Century Workforce to the Norco College campus to discuss what is being done to build pathways to employment. California faces a future shortage of one million skilled workers and the select committee aims to enhance connections from CTE programming, to relevant apprenticeships. “How do we continue to promote these middle- to high-skilled occupations and how do we continue to educate the necessary workforce it takes to meet our industry needs?” Cervantes asked during the hearing.
