As a homegrown Riversider, I am beyond proud to highlight the opening of the Inland Empire LGBTQ+ Center. Riverside's amazing new community hub can be found downtown on the corner of Brockton and University Avenues. It is an absolutely beautiful center that is focused on health and well-being, uplifting and building the LGBTQ+ community today and for future generations to come.

Governor Signs Seven Cervantes Bills into Law

(SACRAMENTO) – Today, Assemblymember Sabrina Cervantes (D-Riverside) is pleased to announce that seven of her bills have been signed into law by Governor Gavin Newsom this year. The legislative package includes measures to enhance government transparency, improve access to healthcare, and make our students’ dreams of achieving higher education more affordable.

Assemblymember Cervantes Kicks Off School Year with Second Annual Educate & Elevate: Teacher Appreciation and Supply Giveaway

(JURUPA VALLEY, Calif.) – As students and teachers across the state return to the classroom after summer break, Assemblymember Sabrina Cervantes proudly helped kick off the school year by recognizing our educators and giving away classroom supplies to teachers at the Second Annual Educate & Elevate: Teacher Appreciation and Supply Giveaway. Over 175 teachers received classroom supplies, ranging from pencils and scissors to tissue boxes and classroom décor. Registrants were also provided dinner and the first 100 received a $20 gift card from CM School Supply.

New LGBTQ+ resource center opens in the Inland Empire

The new Inland Empire LGBTQ+ Center, based in Riverside, aims to serve as a safe, inclusive place for community members to meet and find resources.

A new space, geared towards LGBTQ+ members, has opened in downtown Riverside. The Inland Empire LGBTQ+ Center will provide accessible healthcare, resources and a safe, inclusive space for the region’s diverse residents in the LGBTQ+, immigrant and HIV+ communities, leaders say.
