Cervantes Elected Chair of the California Latino Legislative Caucus

(SACRAMENTO) – Today, the California Latino Legislative Caucus elected Assemblymember Sabrina Cervantes (D-Riverside) as its Chair. She will take office and succeed the current Caucus Chair, State Senator Maria Elena Durazo (D-Los Angeles), on December 5, 2022.

(SACRAMENTO) – Today, both the Assembly Elections Committee and the Assembly Local Government Committee approved Assemblymember Sabrina Cervantes’s (D-Corona) Assembly Bill 1307, which would create an independent citizens redistricting commission to draw district boundaries for the Riverside County Board of Supervisors.

(SACRAMENTO) – Today, Assemblymember Sabrina Cervantes (D-Corona) announced that Assembly Bill 1307, which would create an independent citizens redistricting commission to draw district boundaries for the Riverside County Board of Supervisors, will be moving through the legislative process and is expected to be given an Assembly policy committee hearing in January.
