(SACRAMENTO) – Today, the Senate Appropriations Committee unanimously approved Assembly Bill 162 by Assemblymember Sabrina Cervantes (D-Corona).

(SACRAMENTO) – Today, Assemblymember Sabrina Cervantes honored Brenner-Fiedler of Riverside as the 60th Assembly District 2018 Small Business of the Year at the State Capitol. (SACRAMENTO) – The following is a statement by Assemblymember Sabrina Cervantes (D-Corona) regarding today’s passage of the state budget by both houses of the Legislature:

(SACRAMENTO) - Assemblymember Sabrina Cervantes honored Peppermint Ridge of Corona as the 60th Assembly District 2018 Nonprofit of the Year at the State Capitol. Since 1959, Peppermint Ridge has worked toward empowering individuals with developmental disabilities.

(JURUPA VALLEY) – Today, Assemblymember Sabrina Cervantes and Senator Richard D. Roth welcomed Tesla to Jurupa Valley High School’s Innovation Center. Engineers and representatives of the automaker spoke to students about their work with the hopes of inspiring them to seek out careers in the fields of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM). Students also had the opportunity to visit stations exhibiting Tesla’s solar energy, battery storage, and electric vehicles.

(SACRAMENTO) – Today, the Senate Transportation & Housing Committee approved Assembly Bill 162 by Assemblymember Sabrina Cervantes (D-Corona) by a unanimous vote.

(SACRAMENTO) – Today, the Assembly approved Assembly Bill 2123 by Assemblymember Sabrina Cervantes (D-Corona) by a bipartisan vote of 60 to 3.

(SACRAMENTO) – Today, the Assembly unanimously approved Assembly Bill 1994 by Assemblymember Sabrina Cervantes (D-Corona). AB 1994 will provide law enforcement with more tools to track registered sex offenders.

(SACRAMENTO) – Assemblymember Sabrina Cervantes (D-Corona) joined Assemblywoman Sharon Quirk-Silva (D-Orange County) and the Governor’s Office of Business and Economic Development (GO-Biz) in testifying at a hearing of Assembly Budget Subcommittee #4 on State Administration. At yesterday’s hearing, Cervantes and Quirk-Silva discussed the inclusion of a budget request of $20 million for small business technical assistance.

(SACRAMENTO) – Today, Assemblymember Sabrina Cervantes (D-Corona) introduced Assembly Bill 162, which will allow vehicles in Riverside County to enter and exit high-occupancy vehicle (HOV) freeway lanes, commonly known as “carpool lanes,” at any point by removing existing double-yellow lines.
