Inspiring STEM Education: Assemblymember Cervantes, Senator Roth Look to California’s Future Workforce

(JURUPA VALLEY) – Today, Assemblymember Sabrina Cervantes and Senator Richard D. Roth welcomed Tesla to Jurupa Valley High School’s Innovation Center. Engineers and representatives of the automaker spoke to students about their work with the hopes of inspiring them to seek out careers in the fields of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM). Students also had the opportunity to visit stations exhibiting Tesla’s solar energy, battery storage, and electric vehicles.

Cervantes and Quirk-Silva Press for $20 Million for Small Businesses

(SACRAMENTO) – Assemblymember Sabrina Cervantes (D-Corona) joined Assemblywoman Sharon Quirk-Silva (D-Orange County) and the Governor’s Office of Business and Economic Development (GO-Biz) in testifying at a hearing of Assembly Budget Subcommittee #4 on State Administration. At yesterday’s hearing, Cervantes and Quirk-Silva discussed the inclusion of a budget request of $20 million for small business technical assistance.
